What the Heck is a Macchiato

As some of you may have noticed, we recently got a spiffy new drink menu at the cafe. When we made the new menu we thought long and hard about some of the most frequently ordered things that weren't actually on the menu, as well as the things that we got the most questions about. We addressed those items by adding and removing some drinks.

Two of the new items that have made an appearance on our menu include the word macchiato. So what does is it mean?

Did you ever wonder?

Have you ever wondered where some of the ideas we have at the Comfort Zone come from? Whether it's the soup of the day, the desserts in the case, or the seasonal beverages we promote, it's a team of us that are constantly working to find new and exciting things to serve to our customers.

Looking forward

As January flies by it's time for us to start looking forward to all the awesome events we will be planning for this Spring!

Over the years we have held many, many different events at the Comfort Zone, from Hawaiian-themed evenings where we served up Kona coffee, to bridal showers, to Wine Pairing dinners

15 Yrs of Fun, Food, and Family

Fifteen years. A lot happens in 15 years.
Hamburg Village reconstruction, a building facelift, 255,317 cups of coffee, 42,831 servings of soup (not including sides with meals), 23,274 lattes, 124,421 pastry hearts, countless memories, and priceless customer relationships and friendships formed.

Calling all CZ Friends!

As some of you may have noticed, making healthy choices is not always the easiest (or most fun) thing to do. For some strange reason it seems that the most delicious things in life are the ones that pack the least amount of nutrients and impressive levels of fat, calories, sugar, salt...you know, all that stuff your doctors keep warning you about.

For the love of...

COFFEE. I love coffee, coffee drinkers, and coffee shops! Recently, as I was training a new Barista at the Zone, I was reminded of just how amazing of a commodity those little beans really are.
Do you ever think about where your cup of coffee really came from?
